Lifelines, Emotional Support, Sanity Restorers...

As we begin to move out of lockdown and restrictions are gradually starting to lift, I’ve been reflecting on things that have helped make this very long and challenging year more bearable, meaningful, and even - dare I say it - enjoyable at times.

And what I’ve noticed is that they’re mostly not big, earth-shattering things!

The simple pleasures of a cup of herbal tea, good books, and a relaxing aromatherapy candle.

The simple pleasures of a cup of herbal tea, good books, and a relaxing botanical candle.

They’re all seemingly small and simple things that, under normal circumstances, we might take for granted, or at least not give much emphasis.

Things like:

  • Long dog walks in the glen where we live.

  • Running (I run purely and simply because it makes me feel AMAZING afterwards!).

  • Reading (Isn’t one of life’s great luxuries getting tucked up in bed with a relaxing candle and a good book? Bliss!).

  • Natural aromatherapy candles and essential oils.

  • Writing down all the crap that’s swirling around in my head with nowhere to go + the things I’m grateful for every day.

  • Learning new things.

  • Calls with friends and family.

  • Cuddles with our doggies.

  • Creative Projects.

  • More creative projects.

  • Even more creative projects!

These are some of the important things that have kept me sane and happy (mostly) over this past year.

How about you - What are your things?

What has made and continues to make the biggest difference in your life?

And are these things what you’d describe as big things, or small and simple things?

Lockdown or no lockdown, so often the little things in life can make a really big difference!

Take care,

Rachel x

P.S. Speaking of small things, our brand new zesty, cleansing, and uplifting Limited Edition ‘Organic Lemon & Lady’s Mantle’ natural soy wax melts are set to be released next Friday (16th April)!

I’ve been enjoying using these zesty little melts on many mornings over the last week and find their fresh and uplifting scent wonderful for getting the day off to a sunny start!

If you’re on our email list, you’ll be the first to hear when these melts are released.

(Our limited edition botanical candles tend to sell out pretty quickly, so joining our email newsletter list means you’ll have the best opportunity to get hold of these melts!)
