Pure essential oils (the natural essence extracted from plants) not only smell beautiful, but they also have therapeutic benefits that artificial fragrances don't. It’s comforting knowing that our ancestors have been using essential oils effectively for thousands of years to help calm and soothe the mind, perfume and cleanse their bodies and homes, and generally boost mood & wellbeing.
Essential oils are a fantastic natural home fragrancing option for anyone who doesn’t like overpowering artificial scents and wants to avoid using artificially scented, synthetic chemical-based products in their home.
Also, people who experience physical reactions such as headaches or nausea from artificial fragrance often find that they don’t experience the same unpleasant side-effects when it comes to pure essential oils.

Why Soy Wax Candles?
Our botanical candles are handmade in small batches in Perthshire, Scotland using 100% natural soy wax.
We chose to make our botanical candles from soy wax because it’s healthier and more environmentally friendly than paraffin wax. Soy wax is a natural, renewable resource that burns cleanly and is non-toxic.
The soy wax we use is non-GMO and sustainably produced in Europe, meaning it’s even kinder to the environment. (Much of the soy wax used for candle making is produced in the US and comes from genetically modified soy crops.)
Natural soy wax candles also tend to last longer than paraffin wax candles, so you get more for your money!
This is because soy wax candles burn cooler and therefore slower than paraffin wax candles. If you look after your botanical candle, it can last for 40+ hours!
Why Botanical Candles in Amber Glass Jars?
Our range of natural botanical soy candles come in gorgeous apothecary-style glass jars with aluminium lids, both of which are recyclable.
We chose amber glass jars for our natural botanical candles for two main reasons:
Amber glass protects the pure essential oils infused in each of our natural candles from potentially damaging sunlight.
In true aromatherapy, storing pure essential oils in dark coloured glass containers helps to preserve the integrity and therefore therapeutic properties of these precious and often very expensive substances.
Their rustic, apothecary-style aesthetic fits beautifully with our handmade natural botanical soy wax candles.
Plus, the amber glass gives off a lovely warm and comforting orange glow when your botanical candle is lit.
