New Natural Candle Scents are Coming!

If you follow our social channels, you may already know that I'm working on a couple of new natural candle scents for Scents of the Wild that will be released in the coming months!

In the video below, you can find out more about the candle scents that are coming.

(If you prefer to read the transcript, please find it below the video.)

I hope you love the sound of these new natural scents!

P.S. In the video that I refer to here (which I posted on Facebook on Saturday), I mentioned having felt a bit flat, troubled, and almost having a sense that I shouldn’t be posting about things like candles and wax melts on social media when there are so many desperate and unsettling things going on in the world… Thank you so much to those of you who made kind comments below the video in response and helped me to remember why I do this! :) x

Video Transcript:

“Hello, it’s Rachel here from Scents of the Wild. It’s Sunday afternoon and the sun is just trying to come out. It Looks like it’s going to turn into a beautiful afternoon. I hope it’s the same where you are.

Im sitting here in the little woods at the bottom of the garden and it’s lovely. Hopefully you can hear the bird noise, too!

Anyway, I said to you in the last video that I’d share some more with you about some of the things that are coming, some of the things that I’m working on for Scents of the Wild over the next few months that I hope you’re going to love…

But first, before I share about that, I want to say a huge thank you to those of you who commented yesterday on the video that I posted. I really really appreciate it and, yeah, thank you so much. It was lovely to have that connection too and to hear from you and you’ve reminded me why I do what I do- why I make candles and wax melts. And to hear that you love them and you enjoy them, that makes it totally worthwhile, so thanks very much.

So, in a previous post I shared about how I was working on a new candle scent, a new natural scent, working on a blend of essential oils. And I’d asked you as well what your favourite uplifting, stimulating, refreshing essential oils were.

So, I was working on one fragrance but what has happened is that I think I was sort of trying to throw the kitchen sink into that fragrance! It was… there were too many things going on with it.

So, what I’ve discovered is that I actually have two new scents, I’m working on two new scents and I’m super happy with the results that I’ve had so far with them.

So, I wanted to show you the two candles. I’ve still to test burn these candles actually. But to give you an idea of what I’m developing…

So this first one… I hope you can read that. It might be back-to-front actually- I hope it’s not.

Anyway, I can tell you. So, it’s citrusy. So the mood of it is cheerful, comforting, uplifting and happy. So, all the citrus in there. It’s also got depth to it too.

It’s absolutely beautiful if you like citrusy scents. Lovely and uplifting, cheerful and happy. A really good mood candle. So, that’s a beautiful one.

And the other one is a refreshing one. So, refreshing, stimulating, warming, cleansing, energising. Absolutely beautiful. So, in that one, that one’s more about… Well, I’ll tell you a few of the oils… it’s got eucalyptus, peppermint, and also the warming element, that comes from the… I put some spices in there as well which I won’t tell you about right now but also warming and stimulating, energising.

Do you know, it’s like… Super refreshing, super cleansing, and a decongestant for the winter. But also, with a little hint of Christmas spice.

I didn’t want to go all out on the Christmas candle because we’ve got the Festive Forest Spice for that which I’ll be re-releasing too, probably beginning of November, about that time.

So this one is just a hint of Christmas but it could potentially be used any time of year. It’s just ah beautiful… beautiful, uplifting, refreshing scent… delicious.

So that’s the two that I’m working on. Citrus, happy. Refreshing, eucalyptus, mint with a hint of spice. Absolutely beautiful.

And I’ll keep you up-to-date with what’s going on with these. I don’t have exact times on when I’ll be releasing these- it’ll just be when they’re ready but you’ll be the first to know!

Okay, I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Have a lovely Sunday. And I’ll speak to you again soon. Bye.“
